Author Dewey Crepeau’s book, Are You Ready to Adopt? An Adoption Insider’s Look from the Other Side of the Desk, helps potential adoptive parents navigate the sometimes complicated, always-changing world of today’s adoption choices with the experienced help of an industry insider. Dewey has served as an assistant prosecuting attorney, high school and college law teacher, an assistant public defender, and in private practice in Columbia, Missouri – but near and dear to his heart (and his admitted personal favorite) is the practice of adoption law. Currently, he works with A Gift of Hope Adoptions, and has served on several local nonprofit boards, including Open Arms Crisis Pregnancy Center and The Adoption Exchange of Missouri. Dewey also served for several years as a member of the Columbia Human Rights Commission.
